Overview

Beyond our cohort-centered treks, we welcome the opportunity to craft custom experiences for individuals and groups. Whether you have a specific destination in mind or are open to recommendations from our team, we will work with you to create a personalized trek that caters to your unique needs and goals. This includes the length and rigor of a trek; while some may crave a longer, multi-day excursion, others prefer shorter treks that can easily be completed in a day. Our custom offerings also allow us to provide additional accessibility accommodations, ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the power of transformative time spent in nature.

Sample Itineraries

Old Rag Mountain Loop, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia USA
9.3 miles / 15 km

This popular and very challenging full day experience in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains is ranked by Outside Online as one of the 25 best hikes in the world. Our trek starts early in the morning, leaving our overnight accommodation and driving together to the trailhead. The route starts out with 2 miles of increasingly steep wooded trail, followed by nearly 2 miles of rock scramble. Hikers should expect to crawl and climb! The reward at the 3,284 foot peak is a stunning 360 degree view of the Shenandoah National Park. After lunch, hydration, rest, and photos, we will choose one of several routes of descent, return to our accommodation for post-trek discussion, recovery and refresh, and a much-needed meal with your group and Stillpoint Journeys guides.

Accommodations

This trek requires a two night stay nearby in one of a variety of accommodations, including cabins, lodges, charming inns, and modest mountain resorts. We are happy to offer guidance to help you find a lodging that best fits your needs.
